Understanding Aluminum Fence Grades

Aluminum fencing is manufactured in three primary grades, each designed for specific applications:

• Grade B (Residential) — 5/8" pickets with 1" x 1" rails. Suitable for residential properties, decorative boundaries, and light-duty enclosures. Typical picket spacing: 3-5/8" on center.
• Grade C (Commercial) — 3/4" pickets with 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" rails. Designed for commercial properties, HOA communities, parks, and institutional settings requiring added durability.

Most panels can rack up to a 12-inch rise over an 8-foot span. For steeper slopes, stair-stepping maintains level panels with gaps underneath, which are filled with additional pickets or left open depending on the application.

Spear Top Styles and Gate Options
